How open should the mouth be? Where should the tongue rest? How softly should the sound be formed? How long should the exhalation last? When does the movement begin — and when do you return to natural breathing?

That is why this course does not simply give you a 20-minute routine and ask you to copy it.

Master Haolin first breaks down the Preparation Posture, Starting Form, and all six sounds individually — then brings them together into the complete sequence.

This Course Is Especially Well Suited If You Want…

  • ✓ A Qigong practice centered on breath, not movement alone.
  • ✓ A structured breathing method with clear mouth shapes, exhalation patterns, and movement.
  • ✓ A complete traditional sequence you can learn step by step instead of simply following along.
  • ✓ A slower, more deliberate practice that combines attention, breathing, and whole-body coordination.
  • ✓ A distinct addition to your existing Qigong practice if you already know movement-based systems.

No previous Qigong experience is required.

Practice within a comfortable range, keep the breath smooth, and stop if you feel dizzy, short of breath, or otherwise unwell.

The Six Sounds

Each sound is taught as its own lesson so you can study the mouth shape, exhalation, and movement separately before practicing the complete sequence.

6
Six sounds. Six forms. One complete method.

The course also includes the Preparation Posture, Starting Form, Practice Guidelines, and a complete 20-minute follow-along session.

From Audible Sound to Finer Breath

Traditional Liu Zi Jue practice is often learned progressively.

At the beginning, audible sound can help you understand the correct mouth shape and exhalation. As the method becomes more familiar, the sound can become lighter and more subtle.

The aim is not to shout the six sounds.

✓
The deeper skill is refinement.

Over time, the practice shifts from simply producing a sound toward making the breath smoother, finer, and more controlled.

Traditional Chinese Breathing Practice

A Breathing Method With Centuries of History

Liu Zi Jue belongs to China’s long tradition of breathing and Daoyin practices.

Surviving written records of the Six Sounds appear as early as the Southern and Northern Dynasties in Tao Hongjing’s Yang Xing Yan Ming Lu.

Later generations continued to develop the method. By the Ming period and after, movement was increasingly combined with the traditional exhalation practice, gradually creating the breath-and-movement form familiar today.

The method evolved — but the six sounds remained at its center.

Learn With Master Haolin

Master Haolin has practiced Qigong for 46 years.

In this course, each sound is slowed down so you can study the details that are difficult to understand when the full sequence is performed continuously.

You will learn the mouth position, movement direction, timing, breathing rhythm, and transition for every form before moving into the complete practice.

The goal is not simply to memorize six sounds. It is to understand how breath, sound, and movement become one practice.
